Fishing War plays more like an arcade shooter than a traditional slot. Before the action begins, players select a game mode, which sets the bet range and difficulty. 

Once the game starts, the screen shows colorful fish and creatures swimming by in real time. You control a cannon that fires bullets; each bullet costs your chosen bet amount. You then aim and shoot at targets – when a creature is hit, it’s caught and pays out coins based on its value. 

Managing your shots and balance is crucial, because missed shots simply waste credits. The game emphasizes strategy: choose your targets wisely and conserve ammo to maximize your catches. Here are the key aspects of gameplay:

Game Modes in Fishing War

At the start of Fishing War, you choose one of three modes: Junior, Expert, or Godlike. Each mode corresponds to a betting range and volatility level. Junior Mode is the easiest (low volatility) with bets from about 0.01 to 1.00 per shot, making it friendly for beginners. 

Expert Mode increases the stakes (medium volatility) with bets around 0.10 to 5.00, suitable for regular players. Godlike Mode (high volatility) allows bets from 1.00 up to 10.00 per shot for high rollers seeking big payouts. 

The mode selection changes both your shot power and potential rewards. In essence, pick the mode that fits your bankroll: play safe in Junior if you want steady, small wins, or go Godlike for a chance at huge hits.

Controls and Shooting Mechanics

During play, you use a cannon to shoot any visible creature on screen. You can manually aim and tap to fire, or use special targeting functions. The Target mode lets you mark a single creature – your cannon will then focus all its fire on that target until it’s taken down. 

Alternatively, Auto mode lets you select multiple species; then your cannon automatically shoots any of those whenever they appear. There are also special firing modes: Double activates twin cannons (two shots per fire, costing double), and Lightning zaps a creature instantly. 

Since each shot costs your bet amount, careful aiming is crucial. Missing shots or firing at creatures that escape wastes credits, so smart targeting and timing your shots are key to preserving your budget. Essentially, you must balance aggressive shooting with precision to maximize your successes.

Special Creatures and Bonuses

A major thrill in Fishing War is the appearance of special bonus creatures. Hitting these triggers unique bonus effects. For example, the Firestorm creature grants 30–100 free bullets (like a free round of shooting). 

The Thunder Hammer unleashes a massive lightning strike that automatically hits random fish, scoring a big win (typically 30×–100× your bet). The Azure Stone immediately pays out 10× and then freezes the scene, doubling each subsequent hit’s value for several seconds. 

There are also Wealth Packet bonuses that allow you to pick one of five envelopes for a random prize up to 200×. The biggest bonuses come from boss creatures: the Awakening Dragon (pays 100×–488×) and Monkey King (100×–688×) both create explosions that clear many fish. 

The ultimate boss is the Pirate Ghost Ship: defeating it (often requiring cooperation with others) awards up to 888× your bet. Prioritizing these special creatures with your shots is the main way to trigger Fishing War’s most lucrative features.
